Maternal-Fetal Medicine, in partnership with Community Health Network, is pleased to provide a comprehensive and integrated program that specializes in the management of care and delivery of multiple gestation pregnancies – all in one location at Community Hospital North.

The Multiple Blessings program offers comprehensive care, including:

• Specialized genetic counseling for prenatal screening and diagnostic testing options for multiple gestation
• Early nutritional assessment, counseling and support for women pregnant with multiple gestations
• Detailed ultrasound examination in early-, mid- and late-pregnancy
• Antenatal monitoring services
• Community Home Health Services monitoring and care throughout the pregnancy
• Advanced and thorough NICU management of premature babies at Community Hospital North
• Specialized support groups/services established specifically to address the unique needs of parents with multiple gestations

The program also provides comprehensive maternal-fetal medicine services:

• Single location for care and management of multiple-gestation pregnancies through the integration of the practice and hospital
• Assistance with monitoring and management of potential complications of multiple gestation pregnancies as requested
• Coordination of services available for high-risk multiple gestation pregnancies

It is also important to note that the NICU at Community Hospital North is ranked among the best in the nation—statistics show it has some of the lowest neonatal complication rates in the nation for comparably sized NICUs. And, according to the Indiana Hospital and Health Association, Community Hospital North delivered the most multiple births from January through June 2008 in the Indianapolis-metro area.
